Celularity, Fountain Life to offer experimental cell therapy in Florida

Celularity and Fountain Life announced that Cenplacel-L, an investigational placental-derived allogeneic cell therapy (also known in clinical research as PDA-001 or PDA-002), is available for investigational use by licensed physicians in Florida under recently enacted state statutes that permit physician-directed use of certain cell therapies not approved by the FDA, effective 1 July 2025.

Celularity says it maintains clinical-grade inventory at an FDA-registered, GMP-compliant manufacturing facility and is prepared to support physician-directed investigational use consistent with Florida law.

The firms describe the arrangement as an initial clinical channel that integrates advanced diagnostics, patient selection and physician oversight within a preventive longevity care model, and the company claims this will inform development strategies and best practices.

Cenplacel-L is presented as a lead asset in Celularity’s off-the-shelf platform targeting inflammation, degeneration and age-related disease with potential applications in wound care and orthopedics, but it has not been approved by the FDA and its availability under Florida law does not constitute FDA approval.

Physicians in Florida seeking investigational access are directed to Celularity’s medical affairs team and Fountain Life contacts for further information.
